In 2020, Founder Ciara Adaobi was afflicted with a rare and aggressive type of lymphoma. After a tough and victorious battle, she embarked upon a new journey dedicated to savoring every moment of this precious life, including the tiny moments of self-care.
Ciara experienced many common and uncommon lingering side effects of chemotherapy including cracked skin and skin shedding.
On a hunt for skincare products that helped to heal the damage to my skin caused by aggressive chemotherapy side effects and to relieve her newborn daughter’s eczema. When she and her husband weren't battling skin irritations, treatment nuances, and all that life had thrown at them, their time was spent trying to figure out their daughter’s emerging and mixed hair as her texture changed from soft waves to a thicker more coarse curl pattern.
Since their daughter was an infant and Ciara was still healing, as a household they aimed to use natural or naturally derived almost edible ingredients in all skin and haircare routines. Unfortunately, they had no luck with products finding products with lasting and effective results.
Reading and studying countless scientific articles and dermatology journals on a mission to create something that was proven by science to heal, hydrate and provide long-lasting results.

When I created these formulas, I made sure you'd be able to understand every ingredient used in them. They're simple, minimal, and address specific concerns.
Our skincare formulas contain at least 80% ingredients of natural origin according to the ISO 16128 standard.
